Introduction :
The COA (Chart of Accounts) Mapping Validation Alert helps users assign the correct Chart of Accounts while configuring charge mappings in the Fresa Application. When an incorrect account type is selected, the system displays a validation alert to prevent invalid mappings. This feature improves accounting accuracy, minimizes configuration errors, and ensures that financial transactions are posted to the appropriate ledger accounts.
Note :
Ensure you have permission to edit Charge Map settings.
Select a Chart of Accounts (COA) that matches the expected account type.
If an incorrect COA is selected, the system displays a validation alert and prevents incorrect mapping.
Always verify the COA before saving the configuration.
Step 1: Log in to the Fresa Application.
Step 2: Navigate to the Charge Map menu.
Step 3: The Charge List is displayed. Select the required charge and click the Edit button.
Step 4: On the Charge Map Edit page, select a Chart of Accounts (COA) that matches the expected account type.
Step 5: If the selected Chart of Accounts (COA) does not match the expected account type, the system displays a COA Mapping Validation Alert. Select a valid COA that matches the required account type before saving the charge mapping.
• The COA Mapping Validation Alert is designed to notify users when a selected Chart of Accounts (COA) entry does not match the expected account type for a given financial context (e.g., cost, revenue, or liability).
• This alert helps ensure accounting accuracy and prevents the assignment of inappropriate accounts that could lead to misstated financial records.
