Introduction :
This article explains how to configure GST Exemption for an organization in the Fresa Application. GST exemption allows organizations that are not liable to pay GST on specific transactions to be configured accordingly in the system. Enabling this option ensures that tax is calculated based on the organization’s tax status, helping maintain accurate invoicing and financial records. Proper GST exemption setup also supports compliance with applicable tax regulations and minimizes manual intervention during transaction processing. By following the steps below, users can easily configure the GST exemption setting for an organization.
Note :
Ensure that the correct organization is selected before updating the GST exemption setting.
Enable the Is Tax Exempted option only for organizations that are eligible for GST exemption.
Verify the organization’s tax status before saving the changes to ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
Once the GST exemption is enabled, the system applies the configured tax setting to applicable transactions for that organization.
Users should review the organization’s tax configuration periodically to ensure it remains accurate and up to date.
Step 1: Log in to Fresa Gold, navigate to Masters, and select Organization. (Figure 1)
Step 2: Edit the required Organization from the Organization List. (Figure 2)
Step 3: Click the Edit button at the top of the Organization Details page. (Figure 3)
Step 4: Select Is Tax Exempted and click Save Changes. (Figure 4)
